While working on my next batch of one-of-a-kind recycled, Redeemed earrings for Smithsonian Craft2Wear coming up in October, I chose a small selection to release right now.
They are live in my shop and I've moved them right to the top of the page so that they are easy to find.

New tube bead necklaces
My new Tube Strand necklaces and earrings are now in my online shop!
My favorite part about this design is that the wearer can chose different ways to wear the necklaces. Shift the necklace a bit around the neck or form a second loop and the joints between tubes shift and form different shapes.
Quantities will be limited with these for now as I'm building stock for Ann Arbor Art Fair next month. So what is in the shop is probably all I'll have until the end of July.

New Recycled Earrings
I've posted a new group of Redeemed, recycled earrings to my online shop.
As always they are one of a kind and I'm thinking this might be the last grouping to get posted until June because I just have a lot of other things going on in my life right now including preparing for two shows next month.
I've made the selection as varied as possible but I can tell you the black/white/grey, more graphic ones usually seem to go first. Maybe they are the easiest to wear with everything/anything. Or maybe I do a better job with the design. I'm not sure.

Welcome 2019
For me 2018 had some real highs and, unfortunately, lows. And although technically nothing is really any different than yesterday, something about a new calendar, with all of 2019 laid out before me, feels fresh and encouraging. (I'm old school in this respect - paper and pen calendars for me thank you. I've been using free printable ones for a couple years now and in 2019 I'm using these.)
Printable calendar from oh so lovely. This is one of 46 designs for 2019!
The first new work I'll be posting this year will be one-of-a-kind Redeemed earrings, available Jan. 6 (with an early preview for email followers...sign up here if you haven't already.)
Wishing you peace and all good things for 2019!

New recycled earrings
I'm heavy into a new batch of recycled earrings right now. How I love this creative challenge, laying out pieces of cured, leftover clay and looking for earring designs "hidden" there within the scrap. I cut larger pieces down, pair up shapes and then set about altering surface with carving or color.
Many of the finished pairs will be headed to my November show, Craft + Design in Richmond, but I will post a selection in my online shop Oct. 6 as well...and I'm offering free shipping for folks on my email list ($7 off international shipping) that weekend too so sign up here if you're interested.

New work, New colors
After a good bit of computer wrangling, my new work, in a bunch of new colors, finally made it to the shop late in the day Wednesday. So far the reception has been like the weather here - warm.
Apparently my struggles with posting was due to our new modem and not our computer which requires another trip to our cable company for a replacement which I must admit is SO much better than having to buy a whole new computer. So I'm choosing to be grateful.
If you have the time I'd love your opinion - what do you think of the colors? What colors of jewelry do you wear most?

Shop update at 3pm today
Due to some technical difficulties, my shop update is going to happen at 3pm today instead of noon as I previously announced. I hope you can pop into the shop and let me know what you think!

Photo shoot
The overcast, foggy, "blahness" that has taken over southern Pennsylvania has actually been perfect light for outdoor photo shoots (surely, it must be good for something) and I was fortunate to have model Phoebe and my niece/photographer Sarah Repp to help me out this week.
The two pieces shown here are not yet in my online shop but they will be soon. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter to be the first to know about new work, sales and special projects.
Have a great weekend - hoping you have anything but "blahness" wherever you are!

Recycled, Redeemed earrings
The new batch of recycled, Redeemed earrings are live in the shop! Each pair is one of a kind so when they are gone...they're gone.
Although you might see a Redeemed brooch or two pop up sometime soon, this is the last batch of these earrings I'll make until fall of this year. I have some big projects I've been mulling over and this summer is the time to start work on them.

New recycled earrings
The one-of-a-kind Redeemed earrings on my website were getting low so I'll be adding another 25+ this coming Wednesday. There's a surprising amount of red in this batch - its not a color I use often but I'm really happy with how they turned out.
For the first time I've made several pairs of smaller, post earrings for anyone who'd rather not have a drop or dangle - so light you don't even know you have them on.

Clover Market wrap up
Getting myself unpacked and settled after Clover Market last Sunday. The day could not have been more perfect and turn out attested to it - people were ready to get out in the sun! It was great to meet people from the Philadelphia area, in person, who are already familiar with my work. (Thank you for sticking around and talking for a while - you really made my day!)
It was good to work out some of the kinks with my booth set up. |
Its bizarre to think that I had all this stuff with me...but my jewelry fit into two boxes the size of large shoe boxes. |
Half circle dangles are currently my "everyday" earring. |

Clover Market
Right now I am half day filling orders and half day prepping for my first craft market - April 22 Clover Market in Bryn Mawr, PA just outside Philadelphia.
I'll have all new pieces for sale and plenty of one of a kind because, well... that's my favorite stuff to make. If you are going to be there definitely stop and say 'hi'.

Find my work in NC
Here's the break down of work headed to Visual Index in Winston-Salem. I love NC and haven't been there in quite a while so I'm hoping to visit sometime later this year.
If you're a local, in the area frequently or plan to be passing through on summer vacation and would like to be on the mailing list for new artists and special events you can find that link here. The gallery owner only sends one email a month so no worries about your inbox being flooded.

New work coming to Visual Index
For those of you in North Carolina and surrounding area I wanted to let you know that my work will soon be available at Visual Index on Trade St, NW in Winston-Salem. The owner Toni has been so encouraging and I'm really looking forward to this opportunity. Check out the great video on their website.
I'm just finishing up a selection of my pieces from the Longest Year collection for them and I also be sending a bunch of one of a kind Redeemed earrings.
And don't forget...my the Stacking bracelets are now ready and will post to my shop later today! They're available (top to bottom in the photo) in Verdigris, Ocean, White, Translucent and Black.

Stacking Bracelets
I've worked through some kinks in the construction and sizing of my new statements bracelets and they are finally done! A single one stands out as wearable sculpture just on its own but they become even more interesting when multiples are stacked.
They will be available in small, medium and large, two shapes and four colors so customers can decide on their own "configuration".
Look for them this Wednesday in my main web shop in the Longest Year section.

Bellefonte Art Museum Gallery Show
I'm honored to be the featured jeweler for March at The Bellefonte Museum of Art in Bellefonte, PA. (For reference this small town is just to the north of State College, home to Penn State.) Its charming - the county seat for Centre county with a largely intact Victorian era downtown.
The museum itself is in a beautiful limestone structure built in 1810 and is on the National Historic Registry. It contains multiple galleries with rotating exhibits and a permanent Underground Railroad exhibit.
My work will fill three cases in the upstairs jewelry gallery.
I had this same opportunity back in 2015 but I wasn't able to attend the opening. This time, my husband and I will be there. Opening is 12-4:30 and I intend to be there for at least the first couple of hours. I'd love to meet you if you can make it!

And the shops are open!
Both of my shops are now re-opened as I celebrate 50 trips around the sun! (Official celebration on Friday and including Thai food, so I am told ;-)
My web store holds newer work and my Etsy shop will be for older work, beads, samples and so on. If you make a purchase from both shops at the same time, I'll be happy to combine shipping.
This is the largest of the new work - a three strand statement necklace in Ocean blue. It stands out equally as well on black as it does on lighter colors.

Online shops re-open in just five days!
Its just five day until my shops re-open and I'm hot and heavy into the parts of this whole selling my work on-line thing that I am least thrilled about - photography and sundry, organizational computer stuff.
I'm taking a much needed day away from technology today to take a felting class - something I've wanted to do for quite some time. Who knows how that material may find its way into my work at some point. Someday. Maybe.
Either way, I think the exploration in another material and simply getting out of "these four walls" will be good for me.
Just a reminder, friends on my email list get all the info. on sales, special discounts just for them and first dibs on one-of-a-kind pieces. If you haven't already done so and are interested in signing up just click the black bar at the top of my website. I never, ever, ever share your information. Ever.

Reversible multi-strand necklace
Here's a look at my new reversible, multi-strand necklace. One side is blue and and the other white (or would you call it grey?) so you've got two color choices in one piece.
I'm not sure if you'd call it a statement necklace. That's all really a matter of perspective I suppose however...it is amazingly lightweight.
Noticed the clasp. (Yes, proud of that bit especially.) Its hand fabricated sterling silver and easy to use.
